China Vows to Tackle Pollution in Bohai Sea

Massive Lift Boat Delivered to Milaha

Milaha has taken delivery of a new lift boat which will be deployed offshore, particularly in support of field maintenance efforts.   Named the Milaha Explorer, the new lift boat was built by Bohai Shipbuilding Heavy Industries Co. Ltd. at its yard in Liaoning Province in China, and was designed by the China-based Tianjin De-Sail Machinery Equipment Co. Ltd.    Milaha Explorer will be the biggest lift boat to be owned by a Qatari company, with a large deck area and variable load capacity, as well as the ability to accommodate 300 persons on board. China To Invest in More Submarines

of Type 052 destroyers, China will particularly build a Type 052C ship and seven more Type 052D ships. China to Deploy Marine Surveillance Drones

No further details on the scale or the schedule of the project were provided, but Yu noted that at least one drone would be stationed at each base. A related trial program was launched in late 2011, when China's northeast Liaoning Province successfully took aerial photos with rented drones on a 980-square-km sea area. A separate test on a drone-based 3D monitoring system was also conducted earlier this year by the maritime authority in east China's Jiangsu Province.
