Boskalis Wins Subsea Cable Repair Work

Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. announced Wednesday that it has signed a contract for the replacement and repair of a part of the inter-array cables at an unnamed offshore wind farm. The contract is valued at approximately $90.4 millionThe Dutch firm said it will conduct the work utilizing three anchored barge spreads, including the cable repair assets Bokabarge 82 and recently acquired BoDo Constructor from Bohlen Doyen accompanied by a variety of support vessels.

Gardline Names Vermeijden CEO

Marine survey company Gardline has appointed Christiaan Vermeijden as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Boskalis Wins Subsea Work in the Middle East

Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. (Boskalis) announced Tuesday it has signed a multi-year subsea services agreement for an unnamed customer in the Middle East. Netherlands based Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. said it has acquired all shares of the U.K. based Gardline Group, a firm specializing in marine geophysical surveys, offshore geotechnical services and environmental surveys. A joint venture between Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. and Van Oord has been awarded a LoI (Letter of Intent) for rock placement services for the Nord Stream 2  project. The award was made by the project developer Nord Stream 2 AG and is a part of the construction of the planned twin 1,200 kilometer gas pipelines running through the Baltic Sea, connecting Russia to Europe. Boskalis JV wins Santos Port dredging contract

Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. (Boskalis) and joint venture partner Van Oord have been awarded a contract by The Brazilian Ministry of Transport, Ports and Civil Aviation for the capital and maintenance dredging of the port of Santos, the largest port of South America. Boskalis Bags Netherlands Projects of EUR 200 mi

Boskalis Sells Stake in SMIT Amandla Marine

Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. (Boskalis) has successfully completed the sale of its stake in SMIT Amandla Marine (SAM). The possible sale had already been announced in March 2016. The stake was sold to management and local investors, thereby returning the business of SAM to 100% South African ownership. Boskalis received a cash sum of approximately EUR 50 million for the sale. The activities and results of SAM will be deconsolidated with effect from 1 December 2016. Following the sale, Boskalis will continue to be permanently represented in the region through the activities of SMIT Salvage.

Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. (Boskalis) closed the third quarter of 2016 in line with expectations. Boskalis to cut 650 jobs, 24 vessels

Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. (Boskalis) announces that its Works Council has unanimously rendered a positive advice on the fleet rationalization plan announced early July. Part of the positive advice in an agreement to continue to crew two of the five Fairmount vessels for the time being with Dutch employees.
