Fugro has been awarded a contract from INPEX Operations Australia Pty Ltd (INPEX) for subsea services to be executed across the Ichthys facilities in the Timor Sea, located approximately 220 kilometres from the coast of Western Australia. INPEX is Japan’s largest oil and gas exploration and production company. Talisman to Sell Stakes in Two Australian Offshore Fields

Talisman Energy Inc said on Wednesday it plans to sell its stakes in two oilfields in the Timor Sea off the coast of Australia as Canada's No.5 independent oil producer continues to restructure its global petroleum properties. The company is looking to sell its 40 percent stake in the Corallina and its one-third stake in the Laminaria fields, whose production averaged under 6,000 barrels per day last year, a small fraction of the 373,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day that Talisman averaged over 2013. JDR Wins Subsea Umbilical Contract

a contract for the manufacture of subsea production umbilicals from ConocoPhillips – an American multinational energy corporation headquartered in Houston, Texas. The umbilicals will be deployed in Phase 3 of the Bayu-Udan Field development in the Joint Petroleum Development Area (JPDA) of the Timor Sea.   JDR’s scope of work includes delivery of three sections of electro-hydraulic umbilicals, with a total length of 29km. McDermott Orders DGI Subsea Actuators for Ichthys Gas Project

project will be executed by McDermott for the EPC part (URF part) and Heerema for the Installation part, both on EPCI contract basis. Field location of the project is WA-285-P in the northern Browse Basin, about 200km north-west of Western Australia’s Kimberley coast, at the western edge of the Timor Sea. The actuators DGI will supply for this project are required for temporary use during structure flooding or ballasting operation at water depths of 250 meters. Eni Drills Evans Shoal Appraisal Well in Offshore Australia

Eni announced the completion of the Evans Shoal North-1 appraisal well in the Evans Shoal gas field in the Timor Sea, Australia. The field is located offshore in the NT/P48 exploration permit in the north Bonaparte Basin, some 300 km northwest of Darwin. The Evans Shoal North 1 well, drilled in 111 meters water depth and to a target depth of 3,955 meters, is 12 km away from the Evans Shoal-2. Results indicate that these wells share common reservoir characteristics and are in hydraulic communication. During the well production test the gas flow reached the facility constraint of 30 MMscf/day.

ABB Wins Third Ichthys FPSO Major Contract

ABB appointed main electrical contractor (MEC) for a new floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel at the Ichthys oil & gas field in the Timor Sea off Western Australia. The order is worth $30 million and was awarded by the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor for the FPSO, Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering. ABB Main Electrical Contractor for Ichthys Offshore Project

ABB appointed main electrical contractor for new semi-submersible central processing facility (CPF) at Ichthys oil & gas field in the Timor Sea off Western Australia.
