FarSounder Updates Navigation Sonar Software

Transas Offshore Simulator for Batumi State Maritime Academy

  Batumi State Maritime Academy (BSMA) and Transas Marine Black Sea today signed a contract for supply and installation of the Transas Full Mission Offshore simulator. The simulator complex will be one of the most advanced in the Black Sea region. The full mission Transas offshore simulator with 270 degrees visualisation is based on the Transas NTPRO 5000 software and will be used for training in dynamic positioning operations. The simulator will enable training of crews involved in transfer and supply of mobile offshore units. Training course will be accredited by the Nautical Institute.

Transas will equip 2 tankers for Palmali Shipping

Transas Group and Armada Shipyard (Turkey) have signed a contract for installation of navigation and communication equipment on the two tankers built for the Palmali Shipping, a major oil cargo carrier. The tankers are built in accordance with new series of Armada project RST22M, DWT 7150. Within the contract Armada Shipyard will install a set of radio and navigation equipment including Integrated Bridge System, radio communication console, Intercom and alarm system, DGLONASS and DGPS receivers and other systems. Transas to Participate in ETC-2014

  Transas will take part in the ETC-2014 – The second International Forum on Seafarers’ Education, Training and Crewing. The Forum which consists of the Conference and Exhibition will be held on 23-24th of April 2014 in Odessa, Ukraine. Sonardyne Ranger 2 Chosen for Russian Salvage Vessel

Sonardyne’s Ranger 2 acoustic positioning technology has been selected by Transas for use on two new build ice-class multi-purpose salvage vessels (MPSVs, the project is developed by Marine Engineering Bureau) commissioned by the Russian Ministry of Transport. The vessels are currently under construction at Nordic Yards in Germany and will each be fitted with dual Ranger 2 Pro systems. Transas Secures Two VTS Contracts in Bulgaria

Transas Marine has signed contracts with the Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company (BPI Co) for the implementation of two significant Vessel Traffic System projects in Bulgaria. The first project involves completion of the second phase of the Bulgarian River Information Services project (BulRISII).
