Channel Technologies Names Ralph L. Phillips CEO

Channel Technologies Group, LLC (CTG), a manufacturer of piezoelectric ceramics, transducers and complex sonar and navigation systems used in the defense, medical technology and energy industries, announced that Ralph L. Phillips has been named Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Phillips succeeds Kevin Ruelas, who is leaving to pursue new opportunities.

CTG was acquired by a group led by an affiliate of Blue Wolf Capital Partners in December 2011.

Mr. Phillips most recently served as President of Smiths Interconnect, a division of Smiths Group Plc, a multinational engineering company. Before joining Smiths in 2004, he was president of TECOM Industries, a portfolio company of Veritas Capital. Earlier, Mr. Phillips held various management positions at Northrop Grumman, Litton Industries, and Teledyne. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Stanford University.
