Adding high-grade competences to its portfolio of system sales causes MBT GmbH, MacArtney Germany, to generate a wider field of activity in terms of geographical market coverage in Germany.

MBT GmbH has acquired Bremen based CPU GmbH, provider of equipment for underwater technical systems, as of April 1, 2016.

CPU GmbH remains an independent entity with Christoph Reuter carrying on his job as Managing Director of the company. CPU GmbH will relocate to the Innovation and Technology Center of the University of Bremen and will keep its current name during a transition phase.

“The Bremen area is a hot spot for marine science and technology in Germany, with major research organizations, shipyards, system integrators and key players in offshore wind energy,” said Torsten Turla, Managing Director of MBT GmbH, MacArtney Germany. “We expect significant synergy from the acquisition and from having Christoph Reuter being part of the team in Germany.”
As 2025 comes to a close, MTR explores trends for 2026 and the newest products and vessels in the maritime industry.
