MHI, IHI & DBJ Join Forces On Investments
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI), IHI Corporation and the Development Bank of Japan Inc. (DBJ) concluded a three-way formal agreement today on their respective investments into a new commercial aero engine company, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Aero Engines, Ltd., to be launched on October 1. The new company will succeed to MHI's business in commercial aero engines under a company split action, as MHI previously announced on March 31 and August 28.

Oceanside Harbor Dredging Begins
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District began its annual dredging of the Oceanside Harbor inlet starting April 19.Manson Construction Company of Seattle is dredging the channel to its authorized federal depth of 20 feet. Dredging is expected to be completed prior to Memorial Day weekend.About 250,000 cubic yards of beach-quality sand will be removed from the harbor’s entrance channel and placed along Oceanside’s beaches.

Arctic Rays Releases Mako 4K
Arctic Rays, LLC has released Mako for use on multiple platforms, including ROVs, HOVs, ASVs, landers and fixed platforms. Mako has an on-board real-time clock with scheduler, which can be programmed in advance and allowed to run independently off of its internal battery or external power. The internal scheduler can also be used to synchronize and control any of Arctic Rays’ Dragonfish series lights.
