Objective:

To obtain employment with a reputable company that desires to grow the employee as well as the company.  My ultimate goal is to be able to run in the capacity of Master/Mate with increasing responsibility.

Credentials:

  • Master of Self-Propelled Vessels not Including Auxiliary Sail of Less than 1600 Gross Registered Tons (GRT) upon Inland Waters.  Ref#2585908.
  • Master of Steam or Motor Vessels of not more than 1600 Gross Tons reg. (dom), 3000 Gross Tons (ITC) tonnage upon Inland Waters.
  • Master of Towing Vessels upon Great Lakes and Inland Waters.
  • Able Seaman-Special, Life Boatman, Wiper, Steward’s Department(F.H.)
  • Able Seafarer-Deck Rating forming part of a navigational watch (RFPNW) Proficiency in survival craft and rescue boats other than fast rescue boats (PSC) Basic Training.
  • TWIC Exp. 5/2016; STCW compliant/Merchant Mariner Credential USA000282508
  • Basic/Advanced Fire fighting, Tanker Assist cargo (DL); Radar Unlimited; LNG Fire fighting principles certification; radio operator, etc.

Work Experience:

G&H Towing:         Galveston, TX         1600 Ton Mate     2007-2015

  • Maintained a navigational watch as Master/Mate of Towing on an ASD Ship Assist/Escort towing vessel.

SIU:                            Houston, TX           Able Seaman          2001-2007

  • Worked as an AB Tanker man aboard SIU contracted vessels. Standing part of a navigational watch, assisting with cargo watches, routine deck maintenance, line handling, and participation in weekly drills.
