Dear HR,

 

I am writing to apply for the position as like OOW in the offshore industry. I am confident that I have the skills and I’m willing to gain new experience needed for this role and I am excited to have the opportunity to work for such a reputable company.

 

I have a degree in Navigation and I’d like to gain experience working on offshore oil rigs or offshore vessels. I am familiar with all the safety procedures and I am confident that I can do the job. I am a hard working person which constantly improving knowledge and skills. Recently I’ve received Chief officer license and I did DP introduction course.

 

I’m working as like a deck officer on Chemical/Oil vessels IMO class II. Since 2018 I’m in the chem/oil industry. I was transporting many kinds of different products, my responsibility as like deck officer is  loading/discharging product, ballasting including new standards with BWTS. I’m responsible for chart corrections and navigation watch. I’m familiar with last ISGOTT edition and other tanker/oil regulations. 

 

I believe that I am the best candidate for this job and I am eager to put my skills to work with Your good company. I am looking forward to meeting with you and discussing the role further. Thank you for your time and consideration.
