Quality Assurance/Coating Inspector,AMT Inc., 05.2014 - present

William Preston Lane Jr. Memorial Bridge in Maryland (Bay Bridge), as experienced industry professional, I promote active participation in team objectives of project, Renovation Phase 3 ended 12.2014., Structural and Miscellanies Repairs, 01.2015 – 08.2017.

My role and position is creation, prioritization, implementation, observing and record keeping performed NDT, welding and coating inspection as apart of inspection program to maximize asset integrity, minimize personnel/HSE exposure, and ensure compliance with State, and Agency and Company project requirements.

My performance, onsite as part of inspection crew, is to help contractor to complete all phases of project on time and in the budget.

Quality Control/Coating Inspector, contractor, 07.2013 – 05.2014.:                                                 In charge of quality control on different painting projects of highway’s bridges and overpasses and railroad bridges for independent contractors thru Pennsylvania, Virginia, Georgia, North Carolina and Florida. Supervising and monitoring activities on daily basis, creating daily reports and record deficiencies, proposing solutions. Perform inspection of surface preparation and coating application. Record received blast and coating material, proper storage and handling prior and during work operations, verifying materials inventory reports. Issuing clear, concise inspection reports and repair recommendations.

Quality Assurance/Coating Inspector, GPI Inc., 09.2011 – 07.2013.:

Renovation and misc. repair of Francis Scott Key Bridge and Bear Creek Bridge on I-495, Baltimore, MD. As QA/Coating Inspector duties are to ensure that the work is accomplished in timely manner in accordance with the project requirements/specifications, standards and owner recommendations. Work activities are documented. Monitoring activities on daily basis, accent on eventual deviation(s) from specifications. Report and record deficiencies, propose resolutions. Perform inspection of surface preparation and coating application on bridge projects. Assisting Project Engineer on structural repairs, performing the QA observations of cleaning, surface preparation and painting portions of existing steel structure or cleaning, surface preparation and painting of complete bridge structure. Preparing QA and inspection schedules and reports. Recording receiving of blasting and coating material, proper storage and handling prior and during work operations, verifying materials inventory reports. Verifying instruments and gauges calibration, proper usage. Traffic drag, implementing temporary traffic control. Issue clear, concise inspection reports and repair recommendations as needed/requested. Manage the verification of completed repairs to ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, drawing updates, etc. Coordinate special safety and/or permitting requirements as needed (confined space, etc.).

Superintendent/QC/Coating Inspector, Olympus Painting Contr. Inc., 05.2011 – 09.2011.:

As Superintendent/Coating inspector, in charge of production and quality control on project on Inter County Connector, (ICC) Contract B (MD 200); Project had 5 single steel bridges, and 1 dual steel bridge. Responsibilities are production, inspection of all phases of surface preparation, verifying ambient conditions, cleanliness of surface, before and during the coating application, wet and dry film thickness of each coating applied and final DFT and appearance according to project requirements.

 

Marine Superintendent/QC, Olympian Cruises LLC, Florida – Bahamas, 02.2007. – 08.2010.:

Ship Superintendent in charge of major improvement and renovation of 10,000 GRT M/V Casino Royale to meet SOLAS 2010. Duties included: implementing industry’s best standards; initiating improvements based on forthcoming legislation and economic principles; cost control and negotiation; analyzing various technical problems and modifications; safety inspections, upkeep of equipment with extensive preventive maintenance programs, annual inspections and continuing machinery surveys by Class Society.
