Minimum Chief Engineer USCG unlimited license, a   combination of education and experience that provide equivalent level of   knowledge of ship operations and maintenance management Licensed Chief Engineer (Unlimited) with more   than 37 years experience. 1st Assistant Engineer with experience since 2007,   2nd Engineer experience since 2003, Limited Chief Engineer experience since   1990. Miltary Experience of 10.5 years: US Navy, PO2 Machinery Repairman   onboard USS Vulcan (AR-5) and USS Jack Williams (FFG-24). US Army CWO2, Chief   Marine Engineering Warrant Officer, 97th Transportation Unit and 558th   Maintenance Company.                                          
 
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:Chief Engineer will be responsible to ensure   the vessels are operated and maintained in accordance with regulatory   requirements, company standards and customer expectations. Involves travel to   multiple locations and extended stays away from homeport. Implements standard   procedures and guidelines for the operation of a safe and environmentally   sound vessel. Ensures all vessel personnel comply with regulatory training   requirements. Assists in the development of and adherence to operational   budgets. Investigates vessel damage, product spills, and personal injuries.   Ensures all appropriate authorized personnel are notified and proper   documentation is completed accurately. Supervises licensed and unlicensed   personnel and crew management development. Inspects vessels to ensure   seaworthy condition and arranges for maintenance and repair activities to   correct any deficiencies. Provides technical expertise for specialized jobs   in the field. Direct supervision of union and non-union vessel personnel.
