General Manager

I am presently working for a Leading Ship Agency, Freight Forwarding & Logistics Company in the Kingdom of Bahrain as General Manager.

I have successfully served my present company for over 5 Years and have helped bringing my company and team to new heights and now I am enthusiastic to move forward to pursue growth opportunities for me and the company I get a chance to work for.  

I am good for the position as Director of Procurement as because having a vast experience in Imports & Exports (Shipping) which is a key necessity for all procurement to ensure the excellent commodity in demand is procured well within budgets for traders, who else better than a hard core shipper well known in the industry like me, would be ideal for this opportunity. 

My present work as a General Manager includes, but not limited to, leading the company and my team in the various verticals of Shipping viz. Freight Forwarding (Sea, Land, Air), Liner Operations, Ship Agency, Port & Terminal Operations and Logistics and also simultaneously includes, to take care of the entire work assignments of all 57 numbers staff, working in office and stationed in sea-port and airport offices.

I am also responsible for successful planning, budgeting and formation of our new branch office in the state of Qatar, which has very recently started freight forwarding operations. This has further enhanced my skills in recruitment, initial set-up procedures, in-line with a countries governmental requirement for a new establishment to venture in to Shipping & Freight forwarding trade.  

The key to my success and immense knowledge in Shipping trade, is mainly attributed to my work experience with my present company along with my work tenure with previous stevedoring Companies like Gulftainers (KSA, Jeddah Port) formerly GSCCO where I have served as Operations Shift Manager, Bombay Port Trust (MBPT) in India & Dubai Ports World in Jebel Ali, Dubai (UAE) as Port Control Officer. This combination of experience in various verticals of shipping onshore as well as offshore has enhanced my skills and experience in, Vessel Traffic Management, Terminal Operations, Freight forwarding & logistics.
