Duties and responsibilities

  • Conduct weekly meeting with the owner representative.

  • Conduct and organize seminar to the workers.

  • Prepare daily working and inspection schedules.

  • Coordinate with other section-in-charge to ensure smooth workflow

    and schedules.

  • Inspection of ship items in accordance with the specifications and

    standards provided together with ship owners’ representative.

  • Monitoring assigned vessel from hull fabrication until delivery.

  • Doing documentations and filing of data gathered during inspections.

  • Conduct investigation on what are the possible causes of major defects during preliminary inspection.

  • Conduct monitoring on what are the causes of rejection per vessel and develop counter measures as per shipyard’s standard practices.

  • Conduct brainstorming together with other department in charge in

    formulating counter measures pertinent to quality problems.

  • Conduct Group Quality Patrol as part of our objective to ensure

    working standards are being followed to reduce block rejection and

    improve quality.

  • Attend kick-off meeting facilitated by the QC Department and discuss

    quality related matters and countermeasures of non-conformities

    found during preliminary and final inspection.

  • Educate workers on correct working standard as per Tsuneishi Quality

    Standard.

  • Conduct inspection on ballast tanks during structural testing to test

    the stability of the ship’s structure.

  • Checking of welding quality.

  • Checking of fitting accuracy.

  • Checking of correct welding procedure.

  • Checking of correct welding leg length as per plan.

    2. Tsuneishi Heavy Industries (Cebu), Inc. (THICI)
    Position: Quality Control Technician/Painting Inspector and Blasting Inspector (Field Engineer) June 1, 2014 Present

  • Prepare paint consumption and ship area estimates.

  • Prepare daily working and inspection schedules.

  • Arrange and supervise equipment preparation and field works in

    accordance with the prepared schedules.

  • Conduct daily toolbox meeting before start of work with quality

    control assistants and subcontractor foremen to disseminate work

    assignments and reminders.

  • Inspection of ship items in accordance with the specifications and

    standards provided together with ship owners’ representative and

    paint makers.

  • Monitor onsite painting preparation and application to ensure proper

    paint adhesion and performance.

  • Doing documentations and filing of data gathered during painting

    works and inspections.

  • Checking of Blasting Defects and Surface Profile
