WORK EXPERIENCE
Noble Drilling     Second Engineer, Third Engineer     June 2013 – July 2016
• Engineer on the Noble Bob Douglas in the Gulf of Mexico and New Zealand. Watch stander in charge of operation and maintenance of the engines, thrusters, and all auxiliary machinery.
• Responsible for management of team of three other watch standing and maintenance personnel, as well as hazard management in responding to adverse events and alarms.
• Go-to engineer in ensuring compliance with U.S. environmental and safety requirements, as well as class surveys, failure mode effects analysis (FMEA) testing, and flag state inspections.
• Outside of engineering duties, pursued experience towards a Dynamic Positioning certification
• In 2013, 6 months experience taking delivery from Hyundai Heavy Industries in Korea. Directly involved with system commissioning and sea trials before delivery.

United States Navy Reserve     Lieutenant     June 2013 - Present
• Active member of the Strategic Sealift Officer (SSO) program. Utilize experience as a merchant mariner to provide the Navy with engineering support for sealift ships and combined operations.
• In 2017, deployed for extended training with an Expeditionary Port Unit in Korea for Combined Joint Logistics Over the Shore exercise. Coordinated ship transfers with Korean and US forces.

• 300 days on: Maersk Georgia, Horizon Reliance, Midnight Sun, APL Philippines, USNS Yano
• Worked alongside licensed marine engineers in maintenance of ship’s propulsion plant and auxiliary machinery, completing 18 credit hours of independent study projects.
