four years experience performing operations and administrative
functions in Break-Bulk, RO/RO, Heavy Lift, Bulk & Container
cargo for SSA Marine in U.S. and International offices. Last position
was Port Manager for the Port of West Sacramento California. Special
expertise in cargo handling and crane operations. Prior experience
includes in-depth knowledge and hands-on skills in: facility
maintenance, hazardous material handling, shipping and receiving,
inventory control, rigging, and have a valid TWIC card.

    Positions held from October 1990 – October 2013: July 2006 – October 2013: Port Manager / Assistant FSO Officer In 2006 SSA took over the running of the Port of West Sacramento for the City of West Sacramento. I was transferred there as Port Manager of the Port. Prior experience for SSA: supervision of cargo handling for all seagoing vessels at SSA’s U.S. & Foreign ports. Supervised and coordinated maintenance of all equipment, i.e., forklifts, wire rope slings, motor vehicle pool, and other cargo equipment. Prepared vessel files, stow plans, manning requirements for each vessel. Performed various customer service functions. Work with the city Port Manager in marketing new and exciting customers. Hired and trained new staff for SSA. Work with local ILWU & PMA on labor issues. Was part of the negotiating party on a new contract with the local Warehouseman's Union. May 2004 – July 2006: Operations Manager Returned to LA / Long Beach to work in Break-Bulk & RO/RO & Bulk Cargo. April 2004 – May 2004: Operations Manager In 2004 working with USAID in the Port of Umm Qasr, Iraq. June 2000 – April 2004: International Operations Manager Transferred to international division July 2000 and assigned as a manager at Manzanillo International Terminal in Colon, Republic Of Panama. While working in the international division I work on RO/RO, Break-Bulk, Bulk & Container cargo. Trained on SSA Spinnaker Storage System. I obtain residence and work visa's for Panama & Chile. Also did work in Mexico, Jamaica. October 1999 – June 2000: Manager / Superintendent Started with SSA Marine in the Port Hueneme October 1990 as an operations Superintendent. Promoted to Manager February 1997. Supervised and coordinated maintenance of all equipment, i.e., forklifts, wire rope slings, motor vehicle pool, and other cargo equipment. Prepared vessel files, stow plans, manning requirements for each vessel. Performed various customer service functions.
