Daily responsibilities as an instrumentation foreman were various. Duties included but were not limited to the following. Conducted a Safety meeting every morning and filled out a JSA worksheet for that day.  Inform crews of what their responsibilities for the day would be and then make sure that crew had all the required materials they needed to perform their specific jobs. Once the crews were adequately prepared to carry out their jobs.  Locating more jobs via ISO’s, P&ID’s, and location drawings.  Inspected all jobs that were completed by the crews and would then complete all the necessary paperwork for any jobs that required a sign off and/or inspection sheet. Throughout the day make sure that all employees were working according to all the site specific safety rules. Ensuring all of the crews had the proper safety training, all certification that qualify each person to do the specific job task that was required.  Enforce the utilization of protective clothing and all personal protective equipment. I reviewed the tasks that I assigned to crews, and go over the requirements with them and if considered critical or hazardous, such as confined space, I would go over specific safe work practices and requirements for hazardous actives. I require all my crews to inspect all their personal tools and company tools they use each and every day. I also encourage and practice positive intervention of unsafe acts.
