QUALIFICATIONS

Proficient in performing diagnosis, maintenance, and repair on mechanical, electrical, and hvac equipment

As an automotive service technician I am responsible for maintaining vehicles using the strategy of regular scheduled maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs of damaged or faulty components. This experience will directly transfer to the maintenance and upkeep of other equipment as the core values of proper maintenance and repair do not change. I am responsible for evaluating vehicles for any maintenance required to keep them operating in the safest and most efficient way possible. After inspecting a vehicle I would perform any necessary repairs including simple routine preventive maintenance such as fluid changes and greasing fittings to more in depth repairs such as the replacement of internal engine and transmission components and everything in between. Sometimes the cause of an issue will not be apparent and diagnosis is necessary. This requires a broad skill set depending on which system is at fault and can result in diagnosis of electrical, mechanical or hvac systems all requiring different knowledge and equipment. As an electricians helper I was responsible in assisting the electrician in all aspects of work. We primarily worked on the installation, repairs, and troubleshooting of systems at power plants and natural gas facilities. I helped ensure that all equipment was installed correctly and safely to reduce the likelihood of failure which could cause major issues in the sensitive conditions were the equipment was being relied upon. When there was an issue I helped the electrician perform troubleshooting and repair using various methods and tools depending on the faulty device. We worked on a range of equipment from high voltage generators to control panels and displays.

Skilled in operating manual and electrical tools.

I am very capable when it comes to using tools and machines. I have years of professional experience using a wide variety of equipment including basic hand tools such as ratchets, wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, punches/chisels, pry bars, etc. Also I am trained to use more specialized tools including but not limited too multimeter, oscilloscope, micrometers, pressure gauges, run out gauges and larger equipment such as torches, welders, pipe forming and bending machines. I use these tools daily as well as power tools like drills, reciprocating saws, impact ratchets, power sanders, buffers, grinders etc.

Knowledge of cleaning and preservation of equipment and materials.

All of my previous work experience has incorporated the importance of maintaining equipment to ensure its proper operation. As a lifeguard I was required to inspect all pool and safety equipment to ensure they met the proper safety standards this included flotation devices, first aid equipment, fire extinguishers, and pool filtration/chlorination systems. As a grounds keeper I kept all tools and equipment organized and serviced regularly to ensure they would operate reliably when maintaining the large property. As a laborer my main responsibility at the end of the day was making sure all the equipment was accounted for and cleaned. Working in automotive repair I work with many specialty tools, equipment, and materials that have to be managed. I keep tools organized and available to perform repairs. I am also responsible for servicing shop equipment such, as changing filters on the a/c refrigerant management machine , monitoring hydraulic fluid level and cleanliness on automotive lifts and hydraulic press, oiling and cleaning numerous air tools, etc. I also stock and manage parts and materials for vehicles including motor oils and other automotive fluids as well as various hard parts. I ensure these materials are available and stored in a fashion that they will not be damaged or contaminated.

Knowledge of dining room services, including sanitation / janitorial services.

While working as the groundskeeper at Woodlawn Farms Bed and Breakfast I regularly assisted the food and  service staff at events. This included special event meals such as weddings as well as breakfast services for guests. I participated in setting up the dining and serving area before events including setting up tables, tableware, warming trays, dining utensils, etc. During the events I assisted the wait staff in servicing guests such as delivering food, water, and collecting finished dishes. Finally I assisted in clean up by breaking down the dining area, cleaning, mopping, and washing dishes, cookware, and serving trays.
