The Teledyne Marine 2020 Photo/ Data Contest has concluded with over 80 qualified submissions that helped to donate over $1200 to Save the Children as part of their charitable giving campaign. These funds will be used to aid children around the world during what can only be called – a very challenging year. Ocean engineer and inventor Graham Hawkes founded his current company HAWX Open Ocean, LLC to design and build technologies for both manned and unmanned vehicles with the goal of enabling undersea access to all. His latest invention is the Sea Rocket (Patent Pending) series of gravity powered vertical water column vehicles that collect data and video from the surface to the sea floor.

The Greensea crawler advances the technology used for hull inspection and UWILD inspection by providing a stable base for cameras and other imaging sensors like the Kraken Robotics SeaVision. Engineers can determine precise measurements from 3-D laser scans with confidence that their sensors didn’t move.

Greensea’s New Ship Hull Crawler Technology Launches with VideoRay Defender ROV: Easy-to-Operate Crawler Performs Robotic Inspection and Intervention. Video shows the Defender attach a Defender to a ship hull without magnetics and allows the operator to “drive” the ROV and payloads over the hull.
