Funding Granted for "World’s First" Vessel Charging Station within Offshore Wind Farm

New Code Aims to Protect Dolphins near Aberdeen

a Code of Practice to protect Bottlenose dolphins near Aberdeen’s Harbour mouth, and provide guidance to vessels operating in the port.    The code has been developed by a joint taskforce who have come together as a result of increased interest in the dolphins. New Dive Support Vessel for N-sea

N-Sea has launched its third diving support vessel, the Edradour, representing a $2.2 million investment for the company to be immediately utilized in its inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR) operations in the North Sea, as well as in Holland and Germany. Launched in Aberdeen Harbour at the beginning of the month, the Edradour’s capabilities as a daughter craft will be showcased at Subsea Expo in Aberdeen this week. Fugro EMU to Prepare EIA for Aberdeen Harbor Expansion

Fugro EMU, with support from the Waterman Group, has been appointed to undertake a full Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and prepare an Environmental Statement (ES) in relation to the expansion of Aberdeen Harbour. This potential expansion will involve the construction of a new facility in Nigg Bay to the south of the existing harbour. Fugro EMU is providing overall project management and coordination of the EIA and ES with the support of the Waterman Group, who are managing and coordinating the terrestrial elements of the EIA. First Minister Launches Bibby Offshore New HQ

First Minister of Scotland, Alex Salmond, officially opened subsea installation contractor Bibby Offshore’s new purpose-built headquarters, Atmosphere One.
