American Sensor Technologies Achieves ATEX Certification
American Sensor Technologies, Inc. (AST) has achieved ATEX certification of its Explosion Proof Pressure Transmitters for Class I Zone 0 Exd hazardous locations. The added approvals enhance the ability for equipment manufacturers to specify AST pressure transducers as the sensors can now operate in both North America and Europe. AST Explosion Proof Pressure Transducers are commonly used in upstream and offshore applications where safety, reliability and performance are crucial. The Exd certification applies to the following AST Explosion Proof Pressure Sensor Series: AST4600
Differential Pressure Transducers Launched
American Sensor Technologies, Inc. (AST) has released explosion proof and non-incendive versions of its differential pressure transducer model AST5400. This addition compliments AST's other products in the hazardous location market. AST added CSA certifications for Class I Division 1 and Class I Division 2 to the product series in order to satisfy market demands for differential pressure measurement. The product is capable of measuring line pressures up to 5,000 PSI (350 bar), providing an output signal of analog voltage or 4-20mA. Bi-directional calibration is available. Sensor material

New Submersible Pressure Sensor from AST
The Model AST 4530 Liquid Level Transmitter from American Sensor Technologies, Inc. (AST) is designed to measure the level of harsh liquids such as slurries, salt water and oil in vented tanks or containers. Constructed with PVDF material and a PTFE diaphragm, the AST 4530 submersible pressure sensor features a submersible PVDF cable, cord grip and housing as well as a conduit connection for turbulent installations such as process plants, salt water holding tanks, on board ships, turbulent tanks and rail cars. Sensors are certified to Class I Div 1, Groups C and D for use in intrinsically safe areas

AST Releases PVDF Submersible Pressure Transducer
American Sensor Technologies, Inc. (AST) has released the AST4530 PVDF / PTFE submersible pressure transducer, an alternative to ultrasonic and radar sensors. Intended for liquid level measurement of corrosive liquids in which stainless steel or titanium cannot survive, the AST4530 is designed to offer excellent long-term survivability and stability. All materials exposed to the sensor are optimized for compatibility, including the PVDF cable and seal. The AST4530 submersible pressure transducer offers a variety of measurement ranges from 0-2.5 PSI up to 30 PSI. Through the latest sensing

New Explosion-proof Pressure Transmitter from AST
American Sensor Technologies, Inc. (AST) released the AST46DS Explosion-Proof Pressure Transducer with Display with pressures from 1 to 20,000 PSI available. The AST46DS is a transducer with zero function capability, voltage or 4-20mA output signals, and all 316L stainless steel sensor materials. The voltage output signal is ideal for oil and gas well site applications, the manufacturer said. With many SCADA / RTU sites powered by solar panels in remote locations, a pressure transducer with low current consumption is ideal to extend life. The AST46DS can operate as low a 8VDC and has current
