Drydocks Completes Rig Diyina

Drydocks World, an international service provider to the shipping, offshore, oil, gas and energy sectors has completed the yard’s first Rig Integrity Assurance Program (RIAP) on rig Diyina for the National Drilling Company (NDC), and the first EPCC concept rig project the yard has undertaken.   The completion of rig Diyina is a reflection of Drydocks World’s capabilities and dedication to addressing the refurbishment requirements of offshore drilling rigs, the yard said. Drydocks World Builds World’s Largest Turret

Drydocks World completed the world’s largest turret mooring system. At almost 100m high, weighing over 11,000 tons and with a diameter of 26 meters, the turret is for the Prelude floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) facility. Drydocks World has built the world’s largest turret for SBM Offshore, Technip and Shell. Drydocks World has delivered five modules for the Shell FLNG turret mooring system and delivery of module five represents the completion of the crown jewel of this project, with the turret being the heart of the Prelude FLNG.    The MTR100 is Marine Technology

Drydocks World Wins Turret Fabrication Contract

Drydocks World has secured a contract from Orwell Offshore to fabricate an external Turret for FPSO Layang.   Drydocks World said its team will play an integral role in facilitating project completion during this fast track project expected to be delivered in the first quarter of 2016.   The external turret for Orwell Offshore will deliver improvements in operational effectiveness and weathervaning capabilities on FPSO Layang, enabling FPSO operations in water depths of up to 90m.

Record Rig Berthing at Drydocks World

Drydocks World, the international service provider to the shipping, offshore, oil, gas and energy sectors, have simultaneously berthed 11 rigs in the Dubai yard, breaking its record of nine rigs at the yard set in February this year.   Clients contributing to the record include Saipem, Saudi Aramco, Shelf Drilling, Aban Offshore and the National Drilling Company.   Drydocks World said it has focused its efforts to cater to the offshore market and rig requirements through establishing a dedicated rig division which has worked to market the yard facilities, capabilities, safety records
