HYPACK Integrates Velodyne Laser
HYPACK informs it has recently worked with the Velodyne HDL-32E topographic laser. Dave Maddock of HYPACK integrated the unit to receive data from all 32 channels. A drive around the local Lowe's hardware store, using a Novatel C-Span RTK-GPS is shown. The Velodyne HDL-32E laser measures 5.7" x 3.4", can be mounted in a variety of angles and generates up to 700,000 points per second with a range up to 70 meters. The new integration will be available shortly as an update to HYPACK 2015.
HYPACK Hosts 2015 Training Event
More than 250 attendees, 25 exhibitors and 6,000 remote viewers from around the world participated in the HYPACK 2015 Training Event in San Antonio, Texas. HYPACK also unveiled its new version of HYPACK 2015, which it says features new capabilities and improvements. HYPACK, Inc. offered general training sessions for those who were just beginning to use HYPACK, sessions for people who needed a refresher, and expert sessions for in-depth training on a particular subject. HYPACK Holds Hydrographic Training Event
The HYPACK 2015 USA Training Event will be held in San Antonio, Texas, January 5 to 8, 2015. The Hyatt Regency San Antonio River Walk will be providing accommodations and hosting the annual event. Updated Software Revealed at the event will be the newest software version, HYPACK 2015. Significant changes in HYPACK 2015 will be the new 3D real-time point cloud, water column integration, and a new anchor-handling routine. Other new features included are: enhanced topographic laser capabilities, integration of Leica and Reinshaw topographic laser system, support for multiple navigation devices

HYPACK to Hold Hydrographic Training Event
HYPACK, Inc. announced the dates for its HYPACK 2015 Hydrographic Training Event. The event will be held on January 5-8, 2015 at The Hyatt Regency in San Antonio, Texas. According to HYPACK, the three-day training will cover all aspects of single beam and multibeam hydrographic surveying and dredge management using HYPACK, HYSWEEP and DREDGEPACK packages.
