C-Innovation reports it has opened a new dock facility in Port Fourchon, La., to expand the capabilities of its Subsea Services group.With more than 550 ft of open quayside, Bayou Lafourche is a main entrance into the facility, which is supplied with a Manitowoc 777 crane and forklifts for rapid mobilizations of C-I’s subsea construction and inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR) fleet of vessels, including the 525 ft long Island Venture offshore construction vessel.The dock facility, which will be manned 24 hours a day, will serve as the base for C-I’s Fourchon operations and features

C-Innovation Secures Subsea Construction Contract with BP

, has secured a three-year contract with BP Exploration & Production, Inc. (BP), the largest energy investor in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico.   The contract encompasses subsea construction, inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR) and logistics services in the Gulf of Mexico. With Port Fourchon, La., serving as the home port, the new contract will bring together ECO’s extensive fleet of multipurpose platform supply and well intervention vessels with C-I’s ROV, tooling, project management and engineering services. BSEE, USCG Respond Oil Spill in GoM

The Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) and the U.S. Coast Guard are responding to a two mile by thirteen mile sheen in the Gulf of Mexico, approximately 97 miles south of Port Fourchon, LA. The offshore oil and gas operator, Shell Offshore Inc., reported that a sheen was observed in the area of its Glider Field, a group of four subsea wells located in Green Canyon Block 248. The production from these four wells flows through a subsea manifold to Shell’s Brutus platform located in 2,900 feet of water. Shell reported that production from all wells that flow to the Brutus

FoundOcean Completes Grouting for Ayatsil-A Jacket

FoundOcean has completed the grouting for an eight-legged jacket in the Bay of Campeche, Mexico. The project, completed on behalf of McDermott, mobilized from Port Fourchon, Louisiana and is one of a number of projects completed by FoundOcean in the region. FoundOcean visited the fabrication yard in Tampico to conduct an inspection of the jacket’s grout lines in order to identify any issues that could cause costly delays to the offshore installation schedule. Gulf of Mexico Sees First LNG-powered OSV
