Eco Wave Power to Install Wave Energy Power Plant in Spanish Port

Wave energy technology firm Eco Wave Power has entered an official agreement with Port Adriano, Spain, for the potential construction of a wave energy power plant of up to 2MW. According to the terms of the agreement, Port Adriano will assign a potentially suitable location to Eco Wave Power for a period of 20 years, while Eco Wave Power will be responsible for securing all the licenses, constructing, and commissioning the power plant/s and selling the electricity to be generated by the power plant in accordance with an approved production quota, to be determined for the site.In what will be the

Ultra Deepwater Rig Towed 11,500 Miles

Fairmount Marine towed Sevan Louisiana to Curaçao Tug Fairmount Sherpa towed rig Sevan Louisiana safely from Singapore to Curaçao. During the 11,500 miles voyage via Cape of Good Hope, stops were made in Port Louis (Mauritius), Walvis Bay (Namibia) and Port of Spain (Trinidad) to take bunkers and for crew changes. Sevan Louisiana is a so called Ultra Deep Water rig (UDW), built in 2013 at the Cosco shipyard in Nantong, China, for UK-based Seadrill Ltd. Hydrex Performs Underwater Repair in Trinidad

Last month a Hydrex diver/technician team carried out underwater stern tube seal repairs on a 148-meter container vessel in Port of Spain, Trinidad. The ship was suffering from an oil leak, making an on-site repair necessary.
