Ultra Deepwater Rig Towed 11,500 Miles

11,500 miles voyage via Cape of Good Hope, stops were made in Port Louis (Mauritius), Walvis Bay (Namibia) and Port of Spain (Trinidad) to take bunkers and for crew changes. Sevan Louisiana is a so called Ultra Deep Water rig (UDW), built in 2013 at the Cosco shipyard in Nantong, China, for UK-based Seadrill Ltd. The self-propelled rig, equipped with eight thrusters, can accommodate up to 150 crew members. After arrival in Curaçao the Fairmount Sherpa performed multiple cargo runs for the Sevan Louisiana. The rig will leave Curaçao on her own thrusters for her next job in the Gulf of Mexico

NADL – Seadrill New Partner Talks on Hold

North Atlantic Drilling Ltd. (NADL) and Seadrill Ltd. have been in discussions to bring in a strategic partner as a major owner of NADL, but have not yet been able to find a mutually acceptable solution to all transaction parameters, including treatment of minority shareholders. In view of the commitment NADL has given to its shareholders to list the company, Seadrill has decided to put the current discussions on hold and NADL will proceed with an independent listing on NYSE. NADL expects to file with the SEC during the fourth quarter and proceed with the offering in due course following the SEC

Seadrill to Raise Funds in Private Offering

Seadrill Ltd. announces pricing of its offering of US$500 million of unsecured Senior Notes due 2020. Global offshore drilling contractors, Seadrill Limited, has announced the pricing of its previously announced offering of $500 million in aggregate principal amount of its 6.125% Senior Notes due 2020 in a private offering within the United States to qualified institutional buyers pursuant to Rule 144A under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, and to certain other persons outside of the United States in reliance on Regulation S under the Securities Act.  T Seadrill state that they
