Greensea’s Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of Sales, Marybeth Gilliam, has been appointed Chief Operating Officer, a new position at the company. Gilliam joined Greensea in 2015 and has led the company through a period of sales growth.

Effective immediately, Gilliam will be responsible for operations, services and sales, as well as ensuring continued sales growth and improving efficiencies and profitability.

“It would be difficult to overstate Marybeth's value and contribution to the company. As a partner, she has been integral in developing the front-end of Greensea over the past few years", said Ben Kinnaman, Greensea's CEO and founder.  "Her promotion to COO is both a reflection of her greater responsibilities in the company and our overall growth. She is a skilled leader and is as passionate about our mission as I am. I am confident she will provide the leadership our team needs to deliver technology and products to the subsea community with the highest quality.”

“This is an exciting time to be part of this innovative team and to create products that are transforming the marine industry,” Gilliam said. “My goal in this new role is to progress our product lines and the internal infrastructure necessary to support our rapid growth within the commercial, military and science segments."

Gilliam has over 25 years of experience including founding, operating and leading her own marketing and strategic planning company for 14 years. She has worked with companies such as Lucas Arts, NEC, Micron, Pandora, SoundHound, Eisenhower Medical Center and TBWA Chiat Day.

Greensea is the creator of OPENSEA, a universal marine industry operating platform.
