New Shallow-medium Depth Multibeam Echo Sounder
Kongsberg Maritime has introduced a new multibeam echo sounder designed for survey and inspection operations in shallow and medium water depths: the new KONGSBERG EM 712 multibeam echo sounder, the second generation of wideband multibeam for these water depths. Teledyne Debuts New Controller and Firmware for APEX
Teledyne Webb Research has released the APF-11 controller and firmware as the new core of the Autonomous Profiling Explorer (APEX). With nearly 8,000 floats deployed during the past 16 years, APEX has long been the workhorse of the Argo Program monitoring temperature and salinity in the upper 2,000 meters of the world’s oceans.
