Keppel Delivers Arabian Drilling Company Rig
Keppel delivers its 45th KFELS B Class jackup rig with another 18 such rigs on order. These KFELS B Class rigs make up more than 30% of the total jackups completed globally since 2000. The rig was delivered to Arabian Drilling Company (ADC) 14 days ahead of schedule, on budget and with a perfect safety record. Keppel FELS earning them an early delivery bonus of US$210,000. Named ArabDrill 50 at a ceremony, the rig will be chartered to Saudi Aramco for operations in offshore Saudi Arabia.

Expansion Underway at Hydro Group
Aberdeen-based subsea cable and connector specialist Hydro Group, has expanded its premises by investing £2 million in a new 13,700 sq ft bespoke facility, set to open in spring 2016. The company currently occupies a 45,500 sq ft facility at the Aberdeen Energy Park, purchasing the additional 0.63 acres of development land from Buccleuch Property and Moorfield Group (Buccmoor LP) to enable it to expand operations and develop a brand new workshop with mezzanine deck.

The new Fugro-owned Survey Vessel “Fugro Helmert” has been christened at Fassmer Shipyard in Germany, & is equipped with Kongsberg Maritime (Germany) advanced technical equipment. Kongsberg Maritime scope of supply to this high sophisticated survey vessel includes a Dynamic Position System Class 1 (DP1) with class notation Germanischer Lloyd and various sounding equipment placed in a specially designed blister in the keel section area.
Benthos Aviation Pinger Line Sold to RJE
RJE International, Inc. and Teledyne Benthos today jointly announced the sale of the Benthos aviation pinger product line, which includes the ELP-362D Underwater Locator Beacon, to RJE. In this transaction, the Benthos intellectual property related to the manufacturing of underwater locator pingers for aviation “black boxes” and associated accessories has been sold to RJE, who will build and manufacture pingers for the aviation market.
Eoltech Wins Repeat Contracts
Wind energy consulting firm Eoltech announced that it won contracts from major French customers to deploy IREC-Index. With this advanced multi-source wind energy index, Eoltech will aim to refine the monitoring of 24 wind farms in France, representing a total output of 500MW. IREC-Index will enable Eoltech’s clients to check the consistency of their fleet’s output against the available wind resource to detect potential turbine performance discrepancies.
SINOPACIFIC’s Design SPP17A Secures First Order from Mexico
Sinopacific Shipbuilding Group (SINOPACIFIC), has recently signed a contract with a Mexican shipping company, Naviera Petrolera Integral S.A. de C.V. for the construction of 3 (three) SPP17A vessels. All vessels will be built in SINOPACIFIC’s Zhejiang Shipyard and are expected to be delivered before the end of 2015. Following that, the new vessels will be used by PEMEX, Mexico’s largest governmental owned oil company, in their oil and gas development projects in the Gulf of Mexico.
