My diverse background with Public Works Agencies, environmental and management consultants, professional associations, and the U.S. Coast Guard provides me with a wealth of experience to draw upon.  Directed data driven improvements at the City of Berkeley that produced a sustained reduction in sanitary sewer overflows of over 80%, without increasing staff or resources.  Developed Our Commitment to Customer Service that transformed the Public Works Department’s culture and realized our vision of a “flexible, responsive and resilient Department that provides an atmosphere where excellent customer service thrives”.

 Managed the engineering and environmental negotiations for the Early Transfer of the former Oakland Army Base.

 Led maritime law enforcement teams that seized 5 vessels and over 20 tons of contraband.
