Key Result Areas:

  • Spearheading the large scale commercial operations including conveying fixture information & voyage instructions to vessels
  • Leading a team of 6 people for effective handling of Coastal Trade movement
  • Providing overall support for coastal scheduling of vessels &voyage administration involving activities like ship routine, critical operations including arrival and departures from ports, and rough weather navigation
  • Managing In-charter tugs for Lighterage operations
  • Identifying and developing business with prospective clients, negotiating and fixing vessels like LR1 and LR2 size
  • Performing activities like:
    • Arranging of bunkers and fresh water to vessels
    • Raising invoices of Charter Hire/ Freight and follow up for receiving payment from charterers
    • Preparing Demurrage claim / SOA and getting them audited
    • Preparing Monthly results
      • Maintaining information & contacts of Ship Owners / Charterers & Ship Brokers
      • Developing voyage estimates and maintaining voyage diary / files / records, tonnage list and computing voyage cost sheet
      • Managing the tasks of developing market information reports about prevalent freight/hire trends and sharing the same with  the clients and other colleagues in the organization
      • Monitoring vessel movements and performances and maintaining communication throughout the voyage with all relevant parties like charterers, brokers, agents and vessels regarding voyage orders, vessel itineraries (including confirmation of arrival times, port information etc.), and ensuring necessary certificates of vessels on board are valid, Viz GTL
      • Conducting scrutiny and authorization of all voyage accounts and disbursement accounts
      • Liaising with port, terminal & statutory authorities for quick turn around and completion of voyages, with nil or minimum claims for short-landings, weather damages or other similar causes
      • Negotiating with Charterers for outstanding Demurrage claims, Off Hires and so on
      • Ensuring safe navigation & techno-commercial performance of ships
      • Co-ordination with PNI club for various disputes and arbitration if any
