Description
Over thirty five years experience in the electrical construction, commissioning, inspection and planning engineering working within the petrochemical industry both offshore and onshore, at supervisory level as well as hands on. Working in difficult and hostile environments, alongside and supervising multi-national workforces.
Educated to Diploma level in electrical and electronic engineering
fully conversant with the following industry, electrical standards IEC,DNV,LlYODS, & ABS. An understanding and working knowledge of the ATEX Directives, and the installation of electrical equipment in hazardous areas.
An excellent knowledge and understanding of electrical switchgear both conventional and intelligent and the associated electrical equipment utilized in the petrochemical industry. The communication and control interfaces between the electrical systems and plant control systems such as DCS F&G and ESD.
Developed a thorough knowledge of the co-ordination and completion procedures required to advance a job from its design through to its completion. Considerable experience on the certification and QA/QC requirements for same. A wide knowledge of safe systems of work and conversant with a multitude of PTW. Accumulated experience operating in multi disciplined roles.
