I am a Qualified Marine Engineer with more than 15 years of International management experience handling Technical & Operational aspects various fleet including Tankers – Bulk- Container and executing New Buildings/Dry Docking in China – Japan - India within various kinds of vessels including Offshore vessels DSV-PSV-OSV DP2, 4 point Mooring etc.

A good communicator, motivator and manager I am able to think outside of the box developing solutions that remedy complex problems from my experience in often remote arrears. I am used to work in an International and hectic environments.

Holds ISPS and ISM DPA certificates.

Feb 2015 to now.

Working freelance in Asia and MENA in regards of inspections and dockings and repairs of various vessels (Tankers and Bulk) for European / MENA owners.

Feb 2013 to Jan 2015. Head of Technical and New Building Department at Tomini, UAE.

Head of project 250mil USD for 9 x SDARI 64 Geared Bulk construction including selection of Yard – Contract – Makers List etc. Involved and participating in finance and presentation of the project to various banks as DVB and China EXIM Bank.

Setting up from start Technical Department in Office and Site team at the yard, preparing OPEX and CARPEX for project and office.

Dealing with Class and Flag including various vendors and suppliers.

Working close with the CEO and reporting to Board of Directors on daily and weekly basic. Random visits to selected yard and site team including selection of suggested sub-contractors for mentioned project. Conducting DWG and extra cost approval.

Head of running fleet of Bulk and Afamax Tankers including technical purchase approval etc.

Sept 2012 to 24 May 2013 Technical Consultant at SVS Mombasa, Kenya.  

Advising and setting up PMS systems for Offshore Security Fleet and teaching the company superintendents in using various planning tools including of preparing budgets and repairing / docking cost in Mombasa Kenya and Mtwara Tanzania. Conducting FEMA and FAT test for DP2 for DAMEN AXE Bow DP vessels.

Jan 2012 to Aug 2012 Technical Manager Miclyn Express Offshore, UAE.  

Managing a fleet of total 40+ vessels incl of OSV/DSV DP2 – Crew Boats – Barges in UAE – Qatar – Kuwait – Saudi – Iran. Including KPI budgets/ reporting to top management, CAPEX / OPEX approval.

Conduct weekly OPS meeting with department managers and CEO. 

Management of TSI – TA – OP department including Purchasing Dept. and crewing dept. – HSQE. 

Dry-dock planning and approval including final settlement with yards.

Holding/Handling contact with class and flag. Crew appraisal and interview of officers.

Aug-2011 – Dec 2011 Technical Manager Int HydroDive. Nigeria.  

Daily planning and implement PMS systems. Plan and executing dry-docking’s of fleet of DSV/OSV and 4 point mooring including DP2 [FEMA] DSV in Nigeria and Namibia.  Discussion with vendors. Budget and purchasing control.

05-2010 – 8-2011 Technical Manager Dredco Int. Brisbane. Australia.  

Based in Bige, Papua New Guinea.

12-2008 – 09-2009 Site Manager, D-S Norden.  

2 Months in China: Delivery of Chemical tanker. 

Japan: Start-up of new building site for Bulk carriers (HandyMax)  Daily commutations with Business and Design Departments on site.  Recruitment of site inspectors  Shop test. 

DWG approval. 

Extra cost approval. 

04-2008 – 12-2008 New Building Manager, H.Vogemann GmbH, Germany.  

On-going projects in Japan and China and upstart of site in India. 

Yard inspection for German Banks in China. 

Communication and visit on yards in India – Japan – China. 

Design and plan approval of Bulk, (Handymax size) for India project. 

Negotiations of extra cost. 

Communication with Class society and design /yard. 

Attending Shop Test and meting / negotiations’ with various European and Asian equipment suppliers.  Site teams. 

01-2007 04-2008 New Building Site Manager, Hanseatic Lloyd GmbH, Germany.  

Wuhan, China: 2 Chemical Tanker projects 18500DWT. 

One with Stainless tanks and one with coated tanks. 

Daily follow-up on site and reporting to Owner. 

Daily communication with yard – class – Owner. 

Handling Shop test and inspections of equipment including inspections of steel – pipe – engine – nav equipment. 

Responsibly for delivery of vessels include sea trail and delivery documents – Class documents for Owner.

Docking of APL Panama in Subic Bay, Philippines. 

Overtook the entire repair and did it single-handed as Owners rep. 

Chancing of 750 ton of steel.

Installation of new gas detection system on vessel LNG/C Havfru in Trinidad and at sea.  In charge of service team and final testing and class approval. 

09-2005 – 10-2005 Solvang ASA, Norway for docking of LPG Evangalina 1 at UniThai shipyard Thailand for various upgrading and repairs.
