Work Experience

            I have more than eight years of experience as a safety supervisor/Coordinator. My experience is top mention different project. Having wide exposure to safety management systems, its implementation and ability to introspect regulations logically helps me to ensure safety health and environment in the workplace. The following detail covers some insight to my capability as a, Coordinator as well as leader.

  • Ensure all workforces Safety Induction, Fire Fighting Training, Emergency & Evacuation Drill and Tool Box talks.
  • To increase health and safety awareness at all levels within the organization.
  • To develop, implement and monitor Board Occupational Health and Safety Policy, Program and Procedure
    • Inspected chemicals area and check the correct labeling in the MSDS & the use of right PPE’s.
    • Ensure that during all phases of operations, attention is paid to safe systems of work by carrying out regular inspections in all operational areas, and provides the necessary advice and assistance to reduce accidents and potential losses.
      • Participate as member of a fire fighting team in emergency or drill situations.
      • Respond to operational related emergencies and giving advice as required and assists senior safety        officer in implementation of safety management system.

  • Maintain an effective HSE management. Carry out regular inspections in all operational areas and

 provides the necessary system and ensure high professional standards in HSE through installation of up-to-date tools and techniques.

  • Provide effective analysis and learning from incidents and facilitate timely close-out of action items.
  • Site preparation and continuous monitoring of sensitive hot works and lifting jobs.
  • Monitoring critical activities on site and correct the unsafe practices followed by workers.
  • Review accident/Near miss reports, Analyses the accidents and prepare and maintain a statistical database
  • Communicate safety to all location. Follow up ensure implementation of safety recommendation.
  • Maintain the highest standard of occupational Health and Safety and Environment to prevent human suffering and loss which results from unsafe practice
  • Procedures to maintain a safe place of work and a safe system of work, safe equipment and tools for work and a safe and healthy working environment at all times
  • Procedures to comply with all statutory requirements for the protection and promotion of the health and safety of employees or others contractors.
  • Risk assessment, to identifying actual and potential hazards with the objective of minimizing injury
  • Provide information, instruction and training as may be necessary to ensure the Health and Safety at work site.
  • Work and promote awareness and understanding of Health & Safety.
  • Co-ordinates HSE activities with Sub Contractor to ensure compliance with Company objectives, policies and procedures.

Professional Qualifications

  • Advance Certificate in Work Place Safety and Health (Level-B) (Singapore)
  • Confined Space Safety Assessor (Singapore)
  • Working at Height Assessor(Singapore)

Evaluation the Confined Space permits every day

  • Inspect the site/area together with the applicant before sign the permit.
  • Ensure safe access egress prior to enter the confined space.
  • Ensure the risk assessment, method of work statement, emergency rescue plan, entrant, attender, ventilation, communication device, all electrical tools, Isolation, De-energization and lockout/tag out before endorse the permit.
  • Ensure possible atmospheric hazards and establish appropriate sampling technique, such as measurement method, number and location of sampling points.
    • Ensure suitable and properly calibrated atmospheric gas/vapor testing gas meter prior to oxygen/gas check.
    • Conduct the test in the following sequence:
      • Test for level of oxygen content
      • Test for level of flammable gas or vapor
      • Test the concentration of toxic gas or vapor, where applicable.
  • Conduct the gas test in a manner that will not endanger me or others.
  • Record the results of the gas test in the entry permit. Highlight any deviation from the acceptable limits to the authorized manager.
  • After conduct the gas test if gas level found the acceptable range, endorse and forward the permit to the authorized manager.
