Maintenance Supervisor

An accomplished enthusiastic offshore Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor  with +20 years’ experience in the offshore shipping and drilling industry. An excellent communicator both oral and written who is confident and adept at instilling confidence in others. Able to work on own initiative in often difficult conditions. Proven ability to work to a very high standard and reach often increasing demands with no support. A punctual individual with good bearing and appearance. Focused on the safety of all crew members with the strict belief that safety is the main concern in all situations. I consider myself to be safety conscious and prefer to lead by example, taking the time out where required to be sure all persons, under my supervision understand the task to be performed and how to carry them out safely. Supported training of junior personnel to ensure they were afforded opportunities to gain the experience necessary to maintain and troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems. Provided all required reports to management in prompt, accurate manner, daily briefings to teams through meetings and tool box talks on work schedules. Strong in budgetary control for reorder items and  commutations skills with suppliers worldwide.
