Profile

I am a keen and practically minded Engineer with a great work ethic and will take initiative when it is required. I have 12 months experience on Oil Tankers and LNG Tankers. I have also had several months experience on small coastal dredgers. I have 3 months experience on a steam vessel.
Working on Tankers has given me invaluable experience with regard to safety, control of work procedures, risk assessments for various jobs, correct and regular record keeping, also the importance of keeping up to date with current regulations and law.
BP has the ethos that safety is paramount and should never be sacrificed to get work done quickly, this has been ingrained in me and will take this mind set wherever I go.
I have a Foundation Degree in Marine Engineering (distinction) and obtained an EOOW Unlimited Motor III/1 ticket. My future plans are to top-up my Foundation Degree to a full Degree through distance learning.
I am currently on studying for my 2nd Engineer exams.
