  • ·         Expert in determining compliance with the International Safety Management Code mandated by congress; assisted third party auditors and foreign governments to bring merchant vessels into compliance.
  • ·         Served as lead training Petty Officer for the Port State Control Branch. Trained Eight members in Foreign Freight Vessel Exams and High Risk Vessel Boardings, which significally increased productivity and effectiveness of the branch.
  • ·         Unit liaison for the Galveston County Narcotics and Antiterrorism Task Force, FBI, and CGIS.
  • ·         Engineering Petty Officer Supervised 4 Petty officer and 2 non-rates and was responsible for all maintenance on the boats and the facility.
  • ·         Boat crewmen for search and rescue missions.        
  • ·         Conducted USCG 4100 boarding’s on recreational boats.
  • ·         Conducted Investigation on Marine Casualties incidents and completed all casework.
