IT Manager – Houston, TX – (12/2017 – Present)

Introduced the SD-WAN service to 14 branch office locations in order to upgrade the data and VOIP network infrastructure to accommodate the business needs related to the acquisition of 4 new offices in California, and other selected branch offices throughout the country. Lead all aspects of the project including designing the functionality of traffic shaping. Lead all technical discussions with vendor engineering team. Coordinating all testing activities, reviewing pricing, and providing Senior Management with overview of technology and reason for selecting the specific vendor, spearheading the actual SD-WAN installations completing the installs efficiently and within 2 to 6 hours per install.

Lead all IT Initiatives including Vendor Management, develop strategic direction for all IT projects.  Facilitate and manage new office installations and office moves throughout the country. Manage ERP System support, coordinate all new Data Circuit Installs, provide IT technical support leadership, set and manage relationship with Managed Services Provider, design update for network infrastructure and Data Center virtual server and application upgrades. Drive cost-savings projects where applicable, monitor and control IT budgetary requirements as determined by company Senior Management.

Responsible for the support of the entire IT Environment including 33 branch offices across the United States, manage the Virtual Server Environment, perform administration duties and support of the Mitel VOIP system including the Shorertel/Mitel Director and Shoretel/Mitel Communication systems, conduct Active Directory(AD) administration and Microsoft Exchange management activities, maintain Proofpoint Email security, perform INFOR Sx Enterprise ERP system updates and administration duties as required.

Resolve Branch Offices CenturyLink data circuit issues by leading trouble shooting efforts, interacting with CenturyLink Technical Support teams to resolve both data and VOIP related issues. Utilize remote management to provide support to the 30+ branch offices across the country. Perform administrative functions on the MaxRecall Document Management system and Lead all end-user support activities.

Assisted local Houston Stock Trading organization in recovering from a major Ransomware cybersecurity attack that impacted company workstations and server (11/2017).

Train and report to the new Global Fleet IT Support Manager located in the global headquarters in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Responsible for implementing the new network infrastructure (servers, switches, firewalls, WIFI connectivity) for 30 plus floating network environments in the United States, perform TIER3 network infrastructure and application support troubleshooting. Setup UAT test environment for various Application support teams, and tasked with performing logistics management responsibilities for the United States incoming shipments and deliveries. Responsible for handling interconnect details like cable drawings, panel drawings, network drawings, wiring details while spearheading Rack Enclosure Server Cabinet replacement project activities in the United States remote offices which requires shutdown of network, removing all hardware(servers, patch panels, network switches, routers, satellite communications hardware), from old cabinet and installing all hardware in new cabinet, restarting network, testing and ensuring all systems are online and operational.
