38 years sea going experience. 3 years on tankers (Crude oil and product carriers), 33 years on container ships, break bulk, roll on-roll off (25 years as Master and Ch. Mate), the past 2 years sailing as Ch. Mate on a Pure Car Carrier and a Heavy Lift vessel for Waterman Steamship and Crowley.

AREAS OF STRENGTH

Well versed in Ship Management Sytems including Crowley CTM policies. Managed vessel safety procedures for SeaLand, Horizon, Waterman, and Crowley. Skilled at managing ISM, Class (ABS and DNV-GL), Port State Control (USCG and foreign), and MARPOL and IMO vetting inspection and audit situations. Familiar with CFR’s, IMO, MARPOL, and USCG regulateions. Customer service perspective maintained when representing the ship and company to shore side third parties.

Sailed as Mate on tug boat, factory trawler, and yacht deliveries international and domestic. Sailed as Skipper and Mate carrying passengers for Pillar Point Fishing, and dinner cruises for Commodore Party Cruises, and Mate on the Victoria Clipper a high speed catamaran running between Seattle and Victoria, B.C.
