Performing maintenance and repair of rig main engines and auxiliary systems also include performing general housekeeping duties and assist the Engineering Watch Officer or Mechanic in routine maintenance and repair of rig drilling, auxiliary, and support systems to meet operational requirements as directed.
- Put safety first and never take short cuts or settle for "good enough". .
- Have the ability to train rig crews and technicians a like in operator maintenance, technical level and troubleshooting skills.
- Drilling Rig component experience including but not limited to Drawworks, Mud Pumps, Iron Roughnecks, Pipe Handling Equipment, Engines (CATERPILLAR and DETROIT). .
- To up hose for fluid transfer between ship and the shore.
- To up valve lineups, switch tanks as required to move product in and out of storage tanks
