Having gained significant experience in Instrumentation and Piping Construction onboard oil and gas producing platforms and oil refineries has enabled me to undertake positions of responsibility in Angola, South Africa, Congo, Nigeria, Ghana, Namibia.

 

 

I have practical experience in all aspects of pressure/power, fibre glass process pipe systems.  

 

 

I Mark Carstens, hereby wish to apply for the post as Mechanical/Piping Supervisor, I have over 26 years accumulative experience in the offshore oil and gas, construction, turnkey, upstream installation and maintenance industry as a Mechanical/Pipefitter/Supervisor, during my 26 years experience I successfully completed six EPC projects locally and internationally, working on tools and in a supervisory capacity. I am fully conversant in all aspects of my discipline at a trade, supervisory and safety level including the majority of permit to work systems and installation test plans (ITP).Preparing as built drawings of modified lines as per site actual condition requirements.

 

 

Amongst my duties are tests, installations, repairs, bolt torque and tensioning alignments, assembling of components according to clients specs and drawings. All aspects of pipe sizes and materials, isometrics & IDS, site running of pipelines, preparing of work packs, punch list and commissioning packages, conducting on the job training of locals. I have been part of multi-disciplined and multi-cultural teams which has allowed me to develop as a strong, team orientated, hard-working professional. I have learned to work in new cultures, deal with different people and develop my career both home and abroad. I enjoy a challenge and strive to perform.



I am ambitious, enthusiastic, and a committed individual with an equally friendly personality.
I am adaptable, reliable and self motivated. I bring positivity to my work environment along with an innovative and a creative opinion.

 

 

I have sound skills that can be of value to any position requiring a strong sense of order organization, drive and accuracy. I take great pride in all I do and only want to serve my employer in my fullest and best capability.

 

My objective is to fill a position that would fulfil my personal needs to grow and develop in knowledge and share my skills.
