  • Initiated new business development through formal government solicitation responses.  (USCG Contract Award)
  • QA credential implementation for shipyards (NAVY DRY-DOCK STANDARDS, COAST GUARD CERT. AND ABR) Project Management, including development of Government solicitations and commercial specifications toward estimation, award of new construction or maintenance Availability.

  • Developed and maintained timely management reports, briefings and presentations to the supervisor of shipbuilding, ship acquisition program manager and staff to discuss schedule resource status, variance analysis and process validation findings to provide recommendations.

North Florida Shipyards Inc. – Jacksonville, FL                      May 2011 – June 2012

Project Manager for US Navy vessel repair activity

  • Planned and scheduled repair availabilities (Minor Budget $1.3M) on DDG, CG, FFG US Naval vessels. Managed a team from response to bid, thru bid review, quality program execution and craft scheduling and daily production updates to the customers, stakeholders, architects and safety.   
  • Planned and managed combat systems vendor ORDALT, and HM&E Vendor/subcontractor for MACALT’s, while incorporating FY-12 and FY-13 standard items as required.  Developed, executed and monitored test and inspection plans, process verification inspections (internally and as sub-contractor control initiatives).
  • Captured voice of the customer through accomplishment of customer needs.  Including technical research, scope verification and specification verification toward ABS or Navy technical authority (NTA) criteria.

    • Maximized Egypt Navy’s utilization of six ships in two separate classes by providing guidance and leadership on combat system maintenance, repair, and training.
    • Served as Project Engineer for the FMS transfer of the USS McInerney to the Pakistan Navy.  Responsible for delivery 100% SAT Combat System Material Condition, contractor performance, Vendor schedules, monitor through deliverables for contract requirements and execution of sea trials.
    • Planned and executed shipboard Combat systems assessments and training periods for FFG, CG, DDG, FF (Knox), including synergy with curriculum model managers and planning board for examination team partners.

    • Combat Systems Team member (CSTT) providing work scope development for Underwater Sensor and Underwater weapon systems toward repair and upgrade requirements on availabilities. (shipyard/pier side)
    • Maintenance Manager for two mobile trainers, SE Region; responsible for all aspects of maintenance: budget, regional purchase contracts etc.
