• Job description:

• Ensuring all HSE and Quality standards are met;
• Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements;
• Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope & liaise with all trades to resolve any outstanding issues;
• Ensure that all activities relating to the project are properly planned and that the plans and responsibilities therein are passed to and understood by all concerned parties;
• Ensure in conjunction with the Procurement Supply Chain group that all materials and equipment are procured and delivered in accordance with the projects contract requirements;
• Effectively manage the project team including personnel seconded to the project team from functional groups and ensure effective communication;
• Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully;
• Ensure after review that all project / contract deliverables are properly submitted to the client in a timely manner;
• Identify and resolve issues and conflicts withinthe project team;
• Identify any yard process which creates a delay or which can be optimized and propose solutions to the same;
• Be familiar with the Project Contract and make sure that milestone dates are maintained. Any concerns to be reported to the General Manager;
• Assure that all critical path activities are performed in accordance with the schedule;
• Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion;
• Tracks and reports trade’s man-hours on a weekly basis;
• Complies with and helps to enforce standard policies and procedures;
• Arrange project meetings, internal and external, as necessary to ensure the effective management of the project;
• Develops contingency plans in advance – just in case any item on the
  critical path is delayed;
• Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately;
• Perform other jobs related duties as assigned by the section head;
• Using Mariner for day to day planning and data input.

Projects:VLCC, Multipurpose, Port Container, Ro-Ro, Army, yachts, DOV, LPG, General Cargo, Live stock etc.
