         Roles & Responsibilities

  • Involved in Fabrication& Erection of piping ,Structural , Tie-Ins, Including Hot Taps inspection and testing of refinery piping as per ASME 31.3 & client specification
  • Review of Project Quality plan, Inspection Test Plan and Construction Method statements to cover all project activities.
  • Fit-up inspection of pipe spools, pipe supports, platform, column and all type structure works.
  • Visual Inspection of daily welding activities and Monitor NDE% as Line and welder wise.
  • Request for NDT and coordinate with NDT crew, review and control NDT documents.
  • Monitor PWHT and Positive material identification (PMI).
  • Maintaining welder’s Performance records, Electrodes and updates their RT record’s.
  • Witnessing welder Qualification Test (WQT) and Procedure Qualification Test with various materials P1-P1, P1-P3, P1-P4, P8-P1, and P5B-P8.
  • Witness of flange and structural Bolt tightening using Torque wrench and Pneumatic.
  • Monitoring the record of Fabricated spools release to Painting Yard with Paint system checked.
  • Coordinate with MOM approved inspector for medium and high pressure steam piping works in project like Material verification, control weld summary, Test Pack clearance & Hydro Testing.
  • Inspection of all incoming materials/products at vendor site and In-house.
  • Vendor Equipment nozzle inspection and Maintenance inspection.
  • Inspection on the Under Ground Piping using Holiday Detector.
  • Interpretation of Radiographic Films, reviewing PWHT charts and updates welder’s qualification.
  • Technical Co-ordination with sub-contractors and vendors.
  • Carry out line checking and prepare punch list.
  • Take necessary activities for punch clearing.
  • NDE clearance of piping packages for pressure test.
  • Witness Hydro testing together with client inspectors.
    • Carry out any other duties as and when assigned by immediate supervisor or higher management.

  • Conducting skill training to welders about the Quality related Issues.
  • Resolving/Closing the NCR of Quality related problems that may arise by Client.
  • Maintained & updating the record of testing instrument calibration certificate.
