PROFILE SUMMARY

HIND OFFSHORE – May 2016 – Sep 2016 _ Barge ADMIN cum Radio Officer - Barge SEA PATRIOT

  • Communication with Ships, Vessels, Barges, Port Control, Oilfield control, chopper, Helibase, naval and coast guard warships on VHF, HF and Aero VHF Radio equipments/ GMDSS.
  •  Rig administration – POB, Incoming /Outgoing pax records and Barge Crew manifest/ Sign On/Off, attendance, experience letters/ training and documentation updation,Attendence/Meal sheets.etc.
  • Daily/Weekly/Monthly testing of Radio and Navigational equipment (GMDSS – SSB,VHF & SAT-C,SART, EPIRB, SSAS, GMDSS batteries Load test) AIS/NAVTEX/DEPTHFINDER/GPS, GMDSS BATTERRIES LOAD TEST & PRINTERS etc. and maintenance of all equipments.
  • Hourly checks on Weather (Wind direction and Speed) & position. Maintain Good Anchor Watch. 
  • Inform Barge Master and Shore authorities on Barge Crew and Client movements/logistics. 
  • Send daily DPR, Daily Position & ROB reports and Weekly Fuel and water status to Management and DG/FODAG.
  • Take relevant actions and inform Barge Safety Officer on Hearing of Alarms (Fire and Heat Alarms).
  • Weekly testing of all Alarms panels in Control room(FAS Panel, General Alarms, Chiller room & Freezer alarms/ Medical emergency alarms), PA systems and support Fire & Emergency Evacuation/Man Overboard drills.
  • Maintenance of files, Publications, records & certifications.(Supported IRS/ABS annual Survey &dry docking at MDL).
  • Client and Barge crew FBB call records updation and sent final list to HOPL office monthly. 

NABORS Drilling – July 2014 to Feb 2016: - Radio Officer Rig Sundowner VII & P-16 at Mumbai

  • Coordinating arranging of logistics support from shore authorities including supply of Fuel, Provision and materials.
  • Administering relevant POB, making manifest of personnel & materials, Coordinate crew mobilization, DPR.
  • Communicate with chopper on Aero VHF & with Supply Vessels on VHF/HF during crew mobilization, demobilization Communication with Helibase, Port Control, Base Manager & ONGC H.O. for movements & Official matters.
  • Updating POB, Standby Boat details, Life-Raft lists, T-Cards, Manifests and Room details.
  • Operate all communication equipment in the radio room & ensure they are well maintained & operational.
  • Maintain a radio watch on maritime & aeronautical emergency frequencies
  • Maintain records/logs of all radio communications to/from the rig.
  • Ensure the maintenance of all electronic navigational aids where applicable.(AIS)
  • Test the standby radio equipments, SART & EPIRB, Life boat radio equipments & batteries as required by RMS.
  • Advise the OIM of any emergency situations within the vicinity of the installation.
  • Assist with the maintenance of GMS POB modules & assist Safety Officer for the tracking of SOC cards daily basis. Inform the Helicopter Landing Officer and control room of all intended helicopter traffic to the rig.
  • Establish and maintain radio contact with helicopter traffic to and from the rig. Advise pilots of landing clearances, meteorological conditions, etc. &  also record in the helicopter movement log.
  • Coordinate and control the isolation of radio equipment during periods of radio silence.
  • Assist with the embarkation/disembarkation of all passengers & briefings as required
  • Making announcements on PA system of incoming/Outgoing choppers/passengers & also other ops.

DOLPHIN OFFSHORE: Radio Officer [Communication & Logistics]:- Jan 13 to May 14

  • Communicating with company owned/managed/ chartered vessels/projects in accordance with schedule promulgated by C.O.O. & Vice President (Operations).
  • Manning SSB/MMB on Dolphin Offshore authorized communication frequencies with vessels/ Helibase/ ONGC platforms/other company Radio rooms. Email/ Satcom(FBB) call in emergency/ vessels not in contact.
  • Maintenance of radio equipments installed in the radio room & ensuring timely renewal of radio licenses,
  • Informing concerned authorities on report of any accident/emergency/breakdown on a vessel/ project.
  • Maintaining radio room logs of regular and unscheduled calls as per procedure.
  • Maintaining files of correspondence/reports concerning maintenance/repairs carried out on equipments.
  • Making daily marine DPR’s for all chartered vessels for Operations/Project marine ops requirement.
  • Making records of ROB of consumables for all vessels chartered/owned & daily position tracking rec. for Marine ops.
  • Recording daily Launches movement, department & time details for particular job for certifying bills.
  • Making daily records of Vessels berthing movement / pilots boarding for certifying bills of agent.
  • Making daily sitrep for Divers attendance/crew change & Sat diver’s In-out timing in Sat-ops dept requirement (ERP).
  • Updating purchase dept / ops vessel’s ROB daily basis for ERP input / punching.
  • Monitoring / updating vessels about daily weather reports & warnings.

INDIAN NAVY (1993-2008)

  • Have 15 years professional experience as COMMUNICATION SPECIALIST as Radio Officer(Radiotelephone/Radio Recorder/Field Radio), Helicopter/Aircraft Operator, Naval Vessel Traffic Station (Mumbai) Supervisor.
  • Handled WESTERN Naval Command Operations department as assistant to Chief Operations Officer. Planned vessels movements, Sea/Berth Inner Tidal Basin/Anchorage/Refit/Foreign visit/Indian Attaches.
  • Participated in Foreign naval exercises/ Army/Air force communication nets during exercises/operations.
  • Worked for 02 years in Naval traffic station expertly handled Fleet/ all vessel movements with exchanging traffic in channel from VTS Mumbai and JNPT and passing information on V/UHF sets/MMB/Hotlines/Harbour Intercom/AIS..
  • Well versed with Basic Concept & Operational procedure of GMDSS,SOLAS & MSI.
  • Experience in Shore-Based SAR (Search and Rescue) communication Network and operations. Monitor emergency frequencies to detect distress calls & respond by dispatching emergency equipment.
  • Capable of Maintenance of Equipments in GMDSS and SSB/VHF sets. Radio propagation and Antennas or Aerials
  •    Operate radio equipment in order to communicate with Ships, Choppers, Offshore oil rigs, Oil Field Controls, Navy, Coast Guard, Pilots, and Port Controls and other remote operations.
  •    Receive/Transmit using Radiotelephone equipment in accordance with Government Rules & Regulations.
  • Turn controls or throw switches in order to activate power, adjust voice Volume/modulation & set transmitters.
  • Conduct periodic equipment inspection & routine tests to ensure operations standards are met.
