Safety and vetting coordinator

 Assists Project Manager with day to day project activities  Utilize emerging technologies to enhance emergency response capabilities in times of crisis events  Provide overall administration, technical guidance, and leadership in complying, interpreting and implementing all regulatory requirements regarding safety. (OSHA, USCG, EPA, DOT etc.)  Assists with developing, coordinating, monitoring, and reporting compliance to HSSE requirements, objectives, and KPI’s  Authored plans, policies and/or procedures to ensure crisis management and safe work practices  Develop best in class HSSEQ performance, drive culture change and provide demonstrable process improvements through cost of quality measures  Monitors and reports compliance to Integrated Management System related procedures  Served as the on call duty officer for crisis related incidents  Inspect or audit facility activities to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards to ensure gaps are closed  Leads investigations and prepares accident root cause investigations for near misses, and all other types of incidents  Participates in the investigation of accidents and injuries and cooperates in the preparation of material and evidence for use in hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations  Direct and supervise the activities of subordinates  Develops, upgrades, and manages Project HSSE programs, including awards and recognition programs  Provide regulatory interface (OSHA, EPA, DOT, USCG etc.)  Represents company in outside HSE organizations  Assist as needed for tenders, proposals and projects  Assist internal and external audits including subcontract management  Carry out regular site inspections to monitor and report compliance; also to identify opportunities for improvements and proactive counseling of personnel  Address stakeholders concerns via daily briefings through conference calls or face to face meetings

Marine Science Technician, Port Waterway Management, Marine Environmental Protection, and Waterfront Facility Security and Compliance for Sector Houston-Galveston  Awarded The Coast Guard Commandant’s Letter of Commendation for superior performance as a Maritime Transportation Security Inspector. The letter citied my efforts in implementation of the Maritime Transportation Security Act (MTSA) regulations requiring waterfront facilities to comply with the new national security standards.  Awarded The Coast Guard Commandant’s Achievement Medal for superior performance as a Maritime Transportation Security Inspector, Pollution Investigator, and Harbor Safety Officer over the course of the past 5 years since September 11, 2001.
