Objective

To obtain a shipboard engineering department or a rewarding boat yard position where I can put to good use the skills and experience I have acquired as an ABYC-certified Marine Technician and Tall Ship Engineer.

  • A lightning-quick absorber of knowledge who is an adept and tireless troubleshooter.

  • Achieved “Master Technician” status with the American Boat and Yacht Council in June 2015 after securing four certifications.

  • Worked with great success as an engineer and deckhand/topman aboard historical square-rigged tall ships with responsibility for monitoring, maintenance and repair of engines, electric motors, pumps, electrical power, heating, ventilation, refrigeration, water, and sanitation systems in port and while underway.

  • Trained in marine electrical systems, refrigeration, heating, electronics, plumbing, sanitation, drivetrains, rigging, carpentry, diesel and gasoline propulsion at the nationally recognized Marine Technical Center in Anacortes, WA.

  • Experience in automotive service, database administration, the arts, event planning, office management, tech support and software development.

  • Participated as an officer in Coast Guard-mandated drills for MOB, Fire, Flood and Abandon Ship.
