Description

Merchant Marine officer and Bachelor of Nautical Sciences. My experience over 15 years has been based primarily on acquiring experience and knowledge related to all different types of activities and port logistics, loading, unloading, shipping agency, customs, clearance of ships. I have handled various types of bulk cargoes, urea, bauxite, gypsum, cement, clinker, salt, and transported goods shipped palletized and containerized, general and project cargo, heavy oil, light, LPG and LNG. I got involved with a wide variety of loading and unloading systems, both bulk liquid and have acquired licenses to operate mobile equipment such as pay loaders, skid steers, telescopic crane and derrick crane, type E-Crane. I have worked in different types of piers, docks and many different port facilities with loading or unloading conveyors, automated ship loader or combined systems for bulk cargo and liquid product. I have worked on board as a second and first mate on ships roll-on roll-off, multi-purpose bulk carrier and tankers.

My current employer Fertilizantes Nitrogenados of Venezuela, a company dedicated to the production and marketing of fertilizers, Urea and Ammonia Liquid, located in the oil and petrochemical complex in Jose, Venezuelan state dependency. In which I work as shipping Coordinator and Logistics for 6 years. My responsibilities as a Coordinator is to successfully finish all logistics operations and berthing, loading and clearance of ships both Urea and Ammonia liquid, within the legal framework and security. In addition to planning the sequence of vessels and cargoes.

My previous employer Venezuela Global Material Services, a company dedicated to the discharge of bulk ore, Bauxite, by barge, from Pijiguaos mines in the Upper Orinoco. In which I served as Operations and Maintenance Supervisor for five years, during which I kept the record of unloading and safety, as well as having developed dredging projects, modifications and structural improvements to accessories and equipment operations. My duties as managing supervisor were assigned to cover staff with bauxite discharge targets and maintenance both preventative and corrective, and coordinates the logistics of transit through the Orinoco.

With specialized technical training in the port sector, especially in the areas of operations, logistics, office, agency and customs. Extensive experience in management techniques, port logistics and safety.
