The project is to build of three new units of PSV in De Hoop - Lobit shipyard in The Netherlands. The vessels are DP2 in accordance with DNV ERN (99,99,99,99) according TS607, rev. 2011 and is classified by Lloyds Register. The vessel is 65 meter overall length, 15.8 m Beam moulded and 6 m Depth moulded. In this project I am Owner rep. supervising the construction, test and trial and delivery protocol preparation.

Monitoring the implementation of ship specification and relevant standards, carry out inspection activities related to Outfitting, Machinery, Piping, HVAC, MC & Commissioning. Link between Buyer and Builder;

AXIS OFFSHORE -  Singapore

November 2013 – November 2015

  • Provide expertise to build two units of accommodation semisubmersible in Cosco Qidong shipyard.
  • Units were designed to accommodate 500 persons on board and were equipped with a DP 3 system in DNV classification with DYNPOS-AUTRO, DYNPOS-ER and POSMOOR.
  • Partnered with team members  to oversee equipment selection, equipment integration, installation, and commissioning, along with space rooms arrangement. Reviews drawings, D&ID review and approval and Ducting and equipment layout, P&ID review and approvals and Piping systems layouts, also review machinery space rooms arrangement drawings.
  • Fallow Equipment FAT.

  • Reviewed all instrumentation, equipment locations, and suitability, along with monitoring, overseeing and expediting all mechanical installation work.
  • Managed equipment installation on board of vessel, including alignment for all marine systems and propulsion, jacking system model Gusto NG5500C and cranes including Gusto 800 T crane installation and testing.

  • Delivered commissioning for a new build DP 3 Pipe-Lay vessel known as the “Deep Energy,” in STX Dalian, China.
  • Supervised installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning for all pipe systems, including pressure test, HVAC system installation, MC, equipment installation, pre-commissioning,
  • Led team members, including up to four inspectors at any given time.

GMC HOUSTON

April 2010 – September 2010  

Site Project Manager  

  • Coordinated comprehensive project details for the Derrick Pipe-Lay Barge “Fortuna,” a new build construction and commissioning.
  • Inspected and supervised construction for the new build on ZPMC shipyard in Shanghai, China.
  • The barge was 169 meters in length and 46 meters wide, along with the ability to accommodate 310 persons. It featured 12 mooring winches and two 100-ton tension machines and 200 tons A&R winch.

GULMAR OFFSHORE MIDDLE EAST LLC –Sharjah UAE

2008 – March 2010  

Site Project Manager  

  • Led inspections and supervision for construction of Derrick Pipe-lay Barge (LB 1) ‘Pelican’  on Britoil Offshore Shipyard in Batam Indonesia. The unit has Hull build in China and transferred in Britoil shipyard for complete the construction.
  • Provided management for all mechanical, piping works and HVAC during the construction and equipment fitting, including ensuring that subcontractors followed the construction schedule and met all deadlines.
  • Collaborated with the project manager to provide daily reporting of job progress and budgeting.
  • Monitored the materials and equipment supplies, ordering new items as needed.
  • Partnered with, subcontractors and shipyard personnel to make sure there was minimal disturbance and enhanced safety for everyone involved with the site.
  • Worked with design engineers to review certain drawings that did not suit field reality.
  • Fallow Equipment FAT.

Derrick Pipe-lay Barge (DLB 2) ‘Enterprise 3’ new build construction on Nantong China Shipyard for building phase and Xiamen for 800 t Huisman crane installation and commissioning.

Responsible for managing and supervising all mechanical, HVAC and piping works during the construction and equipment fitting out for a new build Derrick Pipe-Lay Barge including making sure that sub-contractors follow the construction schedule.

Barge Chief Engineer

Responsible for the repair and maintenance of equipment on the various company barges and for planning and coordinating the mechanical and electrical teams carrying out the work.

The NPCC barges included SEP150, SEP 250, SEP 350, DLB 750 and DLB 1000 which were in Ship yard ASRY Bahrain for dry dock repair:  steel plate replace, pipes, valves replace, pressure test of piping and tanks.

Drilling Jack-ups - “ATLAS” in the Mediterranean Sea, and “FORTUNA” and “ORIZONT” in the Persian Gulf.

Responsible for planning of all maintenance of the drilling rig equipment and the coordination of the mechanical engineering team for repair and maintenance of the equipment.

 • Involved in the total refurbishment of the “ATLAS”  and “ORIZONT” Jack-up Rigs which involved the replacing of failing equipment including the centrifugal pumps, mud pumps, top drive, draw-work traveling block, mud cleaning system, mud agitators, cranes air compressors, rotary table and a major overhaul of the diesel engines.
