Yacht Captain

Description

I hold a USCG 500 ton master’s license with STCW and GMDSS endorsements, and valid USA & EU passports. I also have my Marshall Islands discharge book. I am fluent in 4 languages, including English, French, Spanish and Caribbean Creole. I grew up in the Eastern Caribbean and I have extensive knowledge of the islands from the Northern Bahamas all the way South to Trinidad. I have also transited to most ports in the Chesapeake Bay and have navigated the waters of New England for 11 years. I have completed over 80 yacht deliveries along the U.S. Eastern seaboard from Nova Scotia down to the Gulf of Mexico. I have also completed 4 Atlantic & 2 Pacific crossings, and 2 Panama Canal transits.

I am factory certified for the maintenance of DDEC/MTU, Caterpillar and MAN diesel engines. I have also received training for ONAN, KHOLER and NORTHERN LIGHTS generators. I hold a BSEE in Electrical Engineering.

I have FFESSM & CMAS 3 star advanced open water instructor and cave rescue diver certifications. Additionally, I hold COMEX Class IV commercial diver rating.

I am a very motivated and hardworking captain who, for more than 20 years, has an impeccable record as a professional mariner. During my career, I have completed over 120 charters. I am very organized and I pay attention to detail. I have good social and interpersonal skills and I always lead my crew by example. My boat handling skills are excellent and I am good at bringing a vessel from A to B, and even C! I Always accomplish my task in a safe and reliable manner.

As captain, I understand the yacht owner has placed an amazing amount of trust in me. I recognize, I appreciate, and I take very seriously the responsibility that comes along with being entrusted with resources belonging to someone else.
