Job Responsibilities as a planning controller & Yard planner

Evaluate the vessel discharge volumes and reserve the space required, Identify a range nearest to the vessel berth and check if the identified range has sufficient space to accommodate import containers. Using ‘expert decking' or manually (as decided by the superior) assign locations to import containers, ensure that expert decking does not lead to significant volumes of multiple line containers being stacked together,

Allocate locations for transshipment containers considering the following factors,

• Berthing plan of outbound vessel and details about Port of Destination. Historic data in case of details of outbound vessel not available
• Distance covered from the point of discharge - assigned location - point of loading
• Line operator, weight
• Type of container

Analyze the trade volumes service wise, and highlight if they are exceeding the quota, Analyze the trends of trade routes and accordingly assign the best yard location considering distance & number of cranes, plan such that containers belonging to the same line are stacked together. If these empty containers are not pre-planned, co-ordinate with the tally clerk in real time to allocate appropriate yard location, Regularly evaluate the empty container allocations and the ranges to ensure smooth gate operations, Manage planning of empty containers for loading operations, Identify deviations between different sources of input, i.e. compare the requirement lists received from the line agent and the vessel operator, and coordinate with them if any discrepancy is found, Nominate the containers to be loaded on defined parameters like age, movement in yard, yard location, special instructions from the agent, Monitor the Yard operations in real-time and take necessary corrective actions if exceptions arise e.g. yard delays, yard clashes, equipment delays, Keep a continuous track of the "Yard Impact" and maintain a forecast of 4 hours.

Real Time Controller:

  Equal distribution of ITV’s (Internal Terminal Vehicle) to all quay cranes for high productivity using with Prime Route. Minimize equipments and maximize its utilization. Follow Move hour recap and assign equipment appropriate blocks. Troubleshooting the Quay side & yard side operation. Take quick action and decision implementing in operation side to give effective productivity. Coordinating with vessel supervisor, Yard Supervisors and Switcher supervisors and concerned persons. Reaching equipments per hour target and its using maximize utilization.

Job Responsibilities as a cargo & Document controller

• Ensure that containers for discharge/loading are checked with the listed containers

on the bay plan.

• Check if any defect on containers either being loaded or discharged from the

Vessel.

• Checking all the numbers with prefix while loading & discharging of containers.
  • Handles first & last container discharge / loading as per the expected time.
    • Watch each & every action during the operation from the respective cranes.
    • Finalizing the sequence sheets and forwarding to the billing output.
    • Counting the sequence sheets and check the damage container.
    • Handles out of cuage updating.
    • If received an excess container contact the agencies and update the data with
